Community Arts grants are designed to support specific projects by arts organizations or individual artists who have a partnership with an arts or educational non-profit organization. The program supports projects that increase accessibility to the arts for under-served communities. The grant committee encourages proposals that focus on youth and families. Projects considered for this program must occur between October 1, and September 30, annually. The maximum amount of a Community Arts Grant is $6,000. 2011 Grant Deadline - Deadline has passed; grant applications were due to the Arts Commission on Monday, June 13, 2011.

APPLICATION GRANTS AT A GLANCE Community Arts Grants (CA) Grants range from $500 to $6,000 and are directed at support for short-term projects with a community connectiop. Often these grants focus on children and families and have significant artist involvement. Grant recommendations are made by the City Arts Advisory Committee. Community Events & Festivals Grants (EF) Grant recommendations are made by the seven member City Council appointed Community Events and Festivals Committee. The Committee reviews requests for support and makes recommendation for amounts between $1,000 and $40,000. Organizational Development Grants (OD) Grants are made to city-based non profit arts organizations to assist in organizational development and stability. Grants range in amount from $1,000 to $18,000. Grants are recommended to the City Council by the City Arts Advisory Committee. |
