Organizational Development Grants from Santa Barbara County Arts Commission

The Organizational Development Grant Program allows organizations flexibility in utilizing this grant to sustain cultural progress during this difficult economic period. Innovative audience development programs in all artistic disciplines will be a part of this grant process. Organizations that wish to apply must be non-profit and be located in the City of Santa Barbara. The 2009-2010 grants are now closed. Applications are available now. The deadline for 2010 Organizational Development grants is June 11, 2010. .


2010 Grant Deadlines - June 11, 2010

2010 Application Workshops
Workshops will be mandatory for first time applicants.
Technical Assistance Workshops will be held on May 6, 2010 from 4-5 pm and on May 17, 2010 from noon - 1:00 pm at the Granada Garage Meeting Room.

GRANTS AT A GLANCE

Community Arts Grants (CA)
Grants range from $500 to $6,000 and are directed at support for short-term projects with a community connectiop. Often these grants focus on children and families and have significant artist involvement. Grant recommendations are made by the City Arts Advisory Committee.

Community Events & Festivals Grants (EF)
Grant recommendations are made by the seven member City Council appointed Community Events and Festivals Committee. The Committee reviews requests for support and makes recommendation for amounts between $1,000 and $40,000.

Organizational Development Grants (OD)

Grants are made to city-based non profit arts organizations to assist in organizational development and stability. Grants range in amount from $1,000 to $18,000. Grants are recommended to the City Council by the City Arts Advisory Committee.
