Developing and Promoting Sustainable Funding Solutions and Imporving Access to the Arts

 

The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission will host its annual Symposium for the Arts: Finding Sustainable Funding Solutions and Improving Accessibility to the Arts this year at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion, at 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara on Thursday, April 4, 2008, 8:30 am to 3 pm.

 


We are delighted to have Robert Lynch, CEO of American's for the Arts as our Keynote Speaker. Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Americans for the Arts organized the recent Arts Economic Impact Study which the County took part in 2007.

Wayne Cook, Arts Specialist with the California Arts Council will be facilitating part of the day's activities.

The Arts Sustainability Task Force will be providing a report on arts sustainable funding models and the afternoon will include a Youth Perspective on Arts and Culture panel discussion.

A complete agenda will follow in a few weeks. We hope to see you there. It promises to generate a lively, community dialogue.
