A sub-committee of the Arts Commission, the County Art in Public Places Committee (CAPP) is responsible for the development and implementation of the County Art in Public Places program and manages the County's Percent for Art funds. The CAPP Committee oversees the schedule of the Arts Commission's two galleries – the Betteravia Gallery in Santa Maria and the Channing Peake Gallery in Santa Barbara. Members of the CAPP Committee are appointed by the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission.
